Roos NAB AFL Auskick
The Roos NAB AFL Auskick program is designed for 5 - 8 year old girls and boys. In WA the child must be turning 5 by the 1 July to participate.
Sessions usually consist of a warm up, skill activities designed to improve and familiarise participants with the necessary skills of the game and end in a modified game where children can hone their skills in a safe, controlled environment.A normal Sunday morning would consist of the following;
- 10 minutes of welcome and warm up activity
- 40 minutes learning skills and practicing drills
- 30 minutes Auskick game
- 5 minutes awards, finish.
During the Auskick game players rotate between forward, centre and back positions in all games. We conclude each Auskick session with awards.
In Auskick games there is no tackling, bumping or smothering. In Auskick our EMPHASIS is on fun, safety, fair play and inclusion. Games are relaxed and non-competitive. Everyone is encouraged and gets a fair go. Kids play in school years for safety and to encourage participation.
We have almost 150 Auskickers participate in a community based Auskick program every Sunday morning at Inglewood oval.
Our Auskick program aims to provide boys and girls with a fun and safe Aussie Rules football environment that has a great sense of community. It serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game in Juniors (Modified) and Youth football.
This is achieved through skill activities and programs for individuals, small groups and teams, and aims to assist development of personal and social skills.
Mt Lawley Inglewood Roos Junior Football Club is an AFL Kids First and AFL Quality Certified Club with a focus on fun and enjoyment.
The club accepts KidSport vouchers for payment of fees.
All fully paid Auskickers will be sent out a 'Participant Pack' with everything they will need to get started on their AFL Season. Their are different types of Auskick packs that can be selected.

AFL Auskick
The AFL Auskick program makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. Through weekly coaching sessions they will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment. The AFL Auskick program has centres that operate all over the country.
Children will learn the fundamental motor skills vital for future physical activity and sport participation as well as learning how to interact with other children as part of a team in small group activities.
The program also provides a great opportunity for parents to interact with their kids through the activities, have the opportunity to make new friends, learn about the game and spend quality time with their children.
